Course Overview

Power Awareness with CPR and Work Safely at Heights brings together training relevant to telecommunications workers operating around electrical infrastructure and working at height. The course focuses on recognising electrical hazards, applying safe work practices and understanding the controls required when telecommunications activities are carried out near electricity supply structures.

Training also addresses emergency response, including CPR requirements, pole-top rescue considerations and first aid in an electrical supply industry environment. Participants develop practical awareness of the equipment, procedures and workplace requirements used to respond safely to incidents while working in these environments.

The course is relevant to telecommunications personnel whose duties may involve above-ground cabling, electrical infrastructure and work where emergency response or height-related safety skills are required. Participants should follow applicable WHS/OHS requirements, workplace procedures and relevant industry regulations when applying these skills.
