The Combined Endorsement course brings together training in structured, coaxial and optical fibre cabling. It develops practical skills for technicians who need to install, terminate and test different cabling systems used across telecommunications and data networks.
Training covers the characteristics and components of each cabling type, appropriate termination methods, installation practices and the use of relevant tools and test equipment. Participants gain practical experience working with structured copper cabling, coaxial systems and optical fibre, including fibre termination, fusion splicing and testing.
This course is relevant to telecommunications and cabling technicians seeking skills across all three cabling specialisations. The training supports work on communications systems in domestic, commercial and industrial premises, subject to applicable cabling registration and regulatory requirements.
On successful completion of the course and assessment requirements, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment for the applicable units of competency.
